ACTUALLY in Canada you have to be licensed. we dont have states here and you have to go to school to actually work as a cda. if you work without a license here its malpractice and you can be sued because you have to go to school to get a license here. so the course in Canada is approx. 10 months-1 year depending on the province.

Actually, you are incorrect as well.
It varies state to state what dentist can delegate to their assistants. So, they may hire someone with no experience and then send them for their RDH and E.F certificate after they have worked under the dentist supervision for a certain amount of time.
You should check it out for yourself.

I agree she did make it sound like it was a piece of cake to become a DA, and it probably got you upset, especially if you and paid a lot to become a CDA.

you really shouldn’t be telling people false information. you do have to take a course. dentists wont hire just anyone off the street in Canada and America. you actually have to spend the money and go to school to get an education.

okay.. well im assuming you don’t live in Canada or America.. to be a Certified/Licensed/Registered Dental Assistant you must take a course and write a national board exam. so you really arn’t a dental assistant at all. like you must not know alot about all the different oral conditions, diseases, materials, etc..

if you can be a dentis.. then be one. dont be dental assistant.. it takes your legs, back n shoulders ‘away’.
